Dear Ms. Pirada Mora, Human Resources Manager of Kamalaya Resort & Wellness Sanctuary,
I am gracefully applying for the wellness & spa therapist role at Kamalaya Resort and Wellness Sanctuary — a space I deeply admire and feel truly aligned with.
While I am applying specifically for physiotherapy, my background as a raw food chef, retreat designer, yoga practitioner, detox and superfoods expert, stillness appreciator, autonomous artist, and my deep passion for connecting with nature have all enriched my understanding of holistic wellness — and shaped my approach to healing.
I visited Koh Samui over 20 years ago and was immediately touched by its beauty and the gentle, mindful presence of the Thai people. I sensed a cultural wisdom around internal cleansing & body mind soul consciousness that I had never encountered elsewhere — and found these to be missing linkss in my physiotherapy education. That experience planted a seed.
Upon returning home to the Netherlands, I began a 24-year journey researching the most life-supporting, planet-friendly lifestyle for humans. This path led me into raw food cuisine, cleansing protocols, superfoods, plant-based menu design, spa treatments, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, consciousness, connection, biophilic design, and the creation of transformational programs for people of all ages.
I’ve completed a book on nutrition and lifestyle for babies, toddlers, and parents, and I’m currently developing the Holistic Oasis Office — a project to free employees from sedentary, unfulfilling work lives and bring sustainability, movement, and soul back into the workplace.
In Thailand, I discovered a natural finesse in body-mind-soul connection that has always inspired me — and Kamalaya has honored and elevated that wisdom in such a profound way.
What moves me most is that healing at Kamalaya doesn’t happen in isolation. It is held by the team, the ambience, the food, the land — every element supports the journey. I believe true healing grows in such supportive ecosystems, and I would be deeply honored to contribute as part of this conscious team.
In designing CEO retreats and the Holistic Oasis Office program — where conscious movement reshapes the future of work — I’ve found Kamalaya to be one of the most authentic and inspiring spaces for transformation.
The core of my physiotherapy — I believe that each individual possesses a unique understanding of their body's needs, and my goal is to empower by enhancing this intuitive knowledge. The modalities are: movement analysis (flexibility, coordination, agility, balance, symmetry, rhythm, cardio, strength), self-support, feeling of consciousness, profound relaxation, integration of functional movements, body scan meditation, deep breathing, mindfullness, and embodied awareness. I feel my approach resonates deeply with your philosophy.
I would be so happy to bring my skills and heart to such a nurturing and aligned environment.
With gratitude,
Nicole Waasdorp, NiWa
Welcome to NiWa's Holistic Physiotherapy:
A lifestyle journey
I am Nicole Waasdorp — known as NiWa — a holistic physiotherapist with over 35 years of experience, having graduated in 1988 and practiced in renowned institutions across the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands.
My journey began in traditional physiotherapy, but it quickly expanded into something deeper. I kept asking: *Why are we treating movement as correction — and not as connection?*
That question led me far beyond the clinic — into raw food cuisine, detox protocols, superfoods, plant-based nutrition, yoga, meditation, Osho, mindfulness, and biophilic design. For over 24 years, I’ve researched what truly supports human well-being — not just in the body, but in life.
I believe the body speaks — if we learn to listen.
Each person holds an innate wisdom about their own needs.
My role is not to fix, but to guide, empower, and reawaken that inner knowing.
My Holistic Approach
True healing happens when body, mind, and spirit are in rhythm.
My work is rooted in:
- Movement analysis and functional integration
- Self-support techniques for daily life
- Deep relaxation and nervous system regulation
- Embodied awareness — feeling into the body with kindness
- Conscious breathing and natural alignment
This is not about pushing or performing.
It’s about returning — to your rhythm, your breath, your truth.
The Holistic Oasis Office
I am also the creator of the Holistic Oasis Office — a vision to transform sedentary, draining workplaces into living spaces of movement, nature, and care. Inspired by human-centered principles like those of Semco, it’s a place where people are free to move, tend, host, and thrive.
Here, reception hosts welcome guests not from behind a desk, but as moving, tending presences — watering plants, diffusing essential oils, offering fresh dates, and planting the seeds guests leave behind.
Team members move through daily body circuits — not as exercise, but as rhythm.
Work happens in flow, not force.
This is the future of work: alive, human, and healing.
A Life in Alignment
I live in Italy, surrounded by nature, where I continue to research, create, and host. My work has been deeply inspired by Thailand — especially the wisdom I first felt on Koh Samui, and the profound healing ecosystem of Kamalaya Resort Spa Sanctuary.
I’ve completed a book on nutrition and lifestyle for babies, toddlers, and parents, and have designed transformational wellness programs for people of all ages.
Whether one-on-one or in group programs, my purpose remains the same:
To help people come back into rhythm — with their bodies, their lives, and the natural world.
Welcome.
You’re in the right place.
