Work ethics
In my work I wish the best for my client. I go to all extent to find a way for, and especially with them to feel the best ever. Secondary goal is the ability to continue this.
Holistic physio process strategy
Approach
Key is about: self autonomy of the client, transparent treatment, teaching methods and tools enhancing the independancy and autonomy of the client.
- The overall therapy goal: Quality of life.
A sustainable, calm energy level & happiness within, and a healthy, flexible, strong body.
- The program & modalities.
Holism is the combination of many factors that create the tapistry of a life. It cannot be found in one therapy or one food or one movement. It is about unlearning harmfull habits and replace those with healthy ones. For this I use the atomic habits system by James Clear.
Key Elements.
Behavior Change The core framework revolves around the Four Laws of Behavior Change, which form the habit loop of cue, craving, response, and reward.
Identity-based habits Focus on shifting your self-image first—such as "I am a reader" rather than "I will read more"—to make behaviors stick naturally through consistent small actions.
Adopting micro habits
Daily micro habits that reinforce a new identity are small, consistent actions that feel effortless yet reinforce who you want to become by creating positive feedback loops.
Make it obvious: Design your environment to make cues for good habits visible and clear.
Make it attractive: Pair habits with dopamine boosts or temptation bundling to increase motivation.
Make it easy: Simplify the habit to reduce friction and build momentum with tiny actions.
Make it satisfying: Use immediate rewards to reinforce the behavior and ensure repetition.
a repeating many good things every day. I adress, mindset, posture, coordination, balance, selfcare in general, nutrition if desired
1. Analysis & Reflection.
- In my work as Holistic physio it is important to invite the patient to reflect together on the cause, the goal is to learn from the impairment.
- It is important that the client starts to see that the current state is an opportunity to learn and his-her improve overal performance.
- Another part of this first initial phase is movement analysis. Walking, standing, balance, coordination, endurance, strenght, flexibility will be seen, analysed and discussed: in general and with specifice tests.
- Further we discus the lifestyle of the patient. The lifestyle factor is super important. Based on this the exercise program can be specific and effective.
2. Goal setting
- We set together the goal and divide the big goal into
- Do-able steps (sub goals).
- These steps are written and measurable.
- The client is taking partaking of this process.
The client is part of the registration proces and this proces is totally transparent, this ensures:
a. Trust based learning and rehabilitation
b. The feeling that his-her integrity is valued
c. Overview and calmness in the treatment process
d. Involvement, to be involved in one´s own rehabilitation process in a profound way - to go through a gentle healing process.
3. Healing integrated movements, exercises.
The exercises healing movements are:
- Rotational movement: all muscles, ligaments supporting movements are anatomically rotational and this way we adres natural movement therapy
- Coordination - the ability to use different parts of the body together smoothly and efficiently - is oriented a concious well oriented movement program and part of the healing movement
- Balance plays an important part in the holistic rehabilitation because balance is a key aspect in every motion.
- Strength training with body weight is ensuring the client is non dependent on machinery and can keeps fit in any surrounding.
- Cardio is a important factor for the whole cardio vascular system and all cells are in need of certain cardio done in a gentle way. Teaching the client to do safe, easy non-overwhelming cardio movemts that can be done on a daily base is an excellent way to improve overall health.
- Flexibility, a flexible body will be resilient. We will include inspiration from yoga and stretching and somehow weave these movements into daily life.
- Agility is a
- Specific, tailormade, lifestyle oriented*
- Integrating in the daily movements
- Mindfull to enjoy the concious movement and get the ´stress out of movements´
*It is very important that the exercises integrate into the Life style of the client. For several reasons:
1. Motivation. If exercises are congruent with the goals and life style the exercises will be performed with a high rate of satisfaction and result.
2. Continuation. If a exercise does fit in with daily movements, and is not a separate entity, the exercise will be performed without it is seen as an exercise but merely an improvement of motion. See example below.
For example: one can teach squats for the Musculus Quadriceps, as an exercise but it will be boring and time consuming. And on the he long term proven not to continued. As a integrated movement to have the quadriceps strengthener we can for example teach to go sit down very slow. This is improving not only the muscles but also cooordination and calmness with a certain consciousness, mindfullness in movement.
4. Proces evaluation
Every treatment there is time scheduled for checking in where we are how it feels, the progress felt and looking at the next step (subgoal)
It is important that the client feels accomplishment when a the sub goals and finally the main goal are achieved.
All actions, mindsets, movements, menu improvements, relaxations, change in perspective, creative expressions, are factors when integrated, will impact the quality of the life.
5. Post treatment area
When the end goal is reached there will be a future plan. The client learned and know and can describe how to continue to stay on the good side.

*The Maitland method is a patient-centered approach in manual therapy, developed by Geoffrey Maitland, that uses passive and accessory joint and spine mobilizations to treat pain and stiffness. It is characterized by a continuous cycle of thorough examination, treatment, and evaluation, with a strong emphasis on the patient's experience and a clinician's adaptability. A key component is the use of five grades of mobilization, which are small to large rhythmic movements applied within or into the range of motion to achieve a therapeutic effect.
